Instructions for Candidates Before Starting the RRB NTPC Typing Exam

Dear Candidate,

Please read the following instructions carefully before starting the typing test:

1. Test Duration & Requirements

   • The typing test duration is 10 minutes.
   • You must type in the prescribed language (English or Hindi) as per the exam guidelines.
   • The minimum required typing speed is 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.

2. Keyboard & Software

   • English typing must be done using a standard QWERTY keyboard.
   • Hindi typing must be done using the Kruti Dev or Mangal font (as per the exam requirement).
   • You are not allowed to change keyboard settings during the test.

3. Rules & Conduct

   • Typing should be done continuously without unnecessary pauses.
   • Copy-pasting, auto-fill, or using any external tools is strictly prohibited.
   • Leaving the test screen or switching windows will lead to automatic disqualification.

4. Accuracy & Errors

   • Maintain accuracy while typing; excessive errors may lead to disqualification.
   • You are allowed to use the backspace key to correct mistakes, but excessive corrections may affect your final score.

5. Test Submission

   • Once the timer ends, the system will automatically submit your typing test.
   • Ensure you complete the passage within the given time to maximize your score.

6. Important Notes

   • Do not refresh or close the test window during the exam.
   • Any attempt to manipulate the system will result in immediate cancellation of your test.
   • If you face any technical issues, immediately inform the exam invigilator.
